From lobbying for stronger protections to showing up at key events across Australia, we want to give you a peek behind the curtain to show you exactly how your support is moving the world to protect animals.

Take a look at all the wonderful behind-the-scenes work you made possible recently:

Donate to protect animals

Every animal deserves a life worth living – from caged bears suffering in cruel bile farms, to mother pigs who are forced to endure unimaginable suffering on factory farms.

Be an animal friendly traveller

Right now, captive wild animals are being exploited for profit and entertainment. Will you be an Animal Friendly Traveller?

From government submissions to media interviews, here are the many ways that YOU advocated for animals in the last few months:

๐Ÿ™ Together, we joined more than 160 organisations to sign an Open Letter against octopus factory farming to ensure this cruel practice never reaches our shores.

๐Ÿ˜ You also helped us raise awareness about the suffering hidden behind captive wildlife attractions to key industry players the Travel Daze Conference.

๐ŸŽง And if that weren’t enough, you helped us feature on the ABC Nightlife Podcast to shine a light on the ethics of wildlife tourism.

๐Ÿงช But that’s not all! You also helped team members from Australia and China to represent World Animal Protection at the Conference for Wildlife Protection in Traditional Chinese Medicine in Vietnam.

๐Ÿป Thanks to you, they were able raise the issue of using wild animals like bears and pangolins for parts as medicine and advocate for wildlife-friendly solutions.

๐Ÿ“ As a member of the Open Wing Alliance, you also supported the world’s largest investigation into cage egg cruelty. The investigation contained undercover footage from Aotearoa New Zealand and 36 other countries.

๐Ÿฆ˜ And finally, you celebrated alongside other animal groups as global sportswear brands Adidas, Asics and Mizuno left cruel kangaroo leather behind.

Thank you for making waves for animals in Aotearoa New Zealand and around the world.
