On a sunny frosty day in Romania’s forests, four little brown bear cubs walked into their forever home for the very first time.
Thanks to bear lovers like you, our partners at Libearty Sanctuary have finally opened their new enclosure built specially for rescued baby bears!
Rescued baby bear cubs like Luci and Alain got straight into exploring their new home, climbing trees and sliding over the ice that had frozen over their special bear swimming pool.
Watch the video to see how these rescued bear cubs spent their first day in their new home:
These baby bears have grown so much since bear lovers like you first helped rescue them. Many of them had been left orphaned and alone in the wild, after their mothers were shot by hunters. Meanwhile others like mama bear Alpina and her babies David and Elaine were found starving and injured on the edge of a forest.
But with your help, they were brought to safety at Libearty. Take a look at how far they’ve come!
LUCI – BEFORE
Luci was so small and frightened when he first arrived at Libearty.
LUCI – AFTER
Now he loves standing up on his big hind legs to observe the world around him.
ALPINA & ELAINE – BEFORE
Elaine and her mother Alpina were starving when Libearty first found them.
ALPINA & ELAINE – AFTER
With lots of nutritious meals, Elaine is now almost as big as her mama.
TITZIAN – BEFORE
When Titzian first arrived at Libearty, he wasted no time digging into his fave snacks.
TITZIAN – AFTER
And it’s clear to see all those snacks made a difference!
Thank you for giving baby bears like Luci and Alain a place they can finally call home – forever.
