News
Have you met sweet Makhan? She’s the beautiful bear you may have recently seen on TV.

Tethered by a filthy rope, her nose and lip pierced with a crude metal ring, Makhan was forced to dance for tourists daily.
Her life was one of pain, starvation, and fear. Like many bears used in the entertainment industry, she was likely subjected to a brutal “training” process as a cub, designed to break her spirit and force her into submission.
If you haven’t seen Makhan’s story on TV yet and are wondering what it’s all about, you can watch here:
Thanks to the compassion of animal lovers around the world, Makhan was surrendered by her owner and brought to the Bioresource Research Centre (BRC) sanctuary in Pakistan. There, she is finally free to feel soft grass beneath her paws, to bask in the sun, and to live as a bear should.
But Makhan’s story is not unique. Across the globe, millions of animals are still suffering in silence. Elephants forced to ride bicycles. Monkeys chained by the neck. Tigers shocked and caged for human amusement. These are not isolated incidents. They are symptoms of a global industry that profits from pain.
Makhan’s journey from suffering to sanctuary is a testament to what’s possible when people choose compassion.
With you by their side, more animals like Makah can have a life worth living. Will you make some noise to protect animals around the world?
