Every dog has its day

The 23rd of February is International Dog Biscuit Appreciation Day. Looking for an excuse to treat your best friend? Look no further!

Bon a pet-treat!

Dogs are beloved members of the family. Today is a wonderful opportunity to show your love and affection to your most loyal companion.

We’ve put together some healthy and delicious dog biscuit recipes for all to try. We guarantee your pet will absolutely ‘woof’ them down. Follow this link to download the recipes and get cooking today.

Please note, while we have endeavoured to ensure the ingredients in these recipes are safe for dogs, a good rule of thumb is to always check with your vet before feeding your pet anything new. When you do surprise them with a tasty new treat, start with a small amount first to check that it’s safe.

This is good practise for all treats and not just the home-made variety. There’s a lengthy list of human foods that can be toxic for dogs including onions, garlic, chocolate and grapes.  Avoid giving your dog cooked bones as these can splinter and cause internal damage.

If you follow these simple safety precautions, both you and your best friend can enjoy a happy dog biscuit appreciation day!
