If you love what we do and want to come and get involved, we’d love to hear from you. Our wonderful volunteers help us out in our office in Parnell, Auckland. Become a volunteer and you could:

  • Help to get receipts out to donors on time.
  • Thank our supporters
  • Check with supporters to get their up-to-date contact details.

Here’s what a couple of our volunteers, Kristin and Hjorde have to say about their experience volunteering with us:

Volunteer Profile - Kristin

I have been volunteering here for the last couple of years and will continue to do so for many more! I am a compassionate animal lover and I am proud to know that the little work that I assist with, allows more time for the staff here to focus on the important matters involving the global welfare of animals.

Volunteer Profile - Hjorde

I have always been compassionate towards animals. Volunteering here allows me to do my bit for the bigger picture aiding animals in need. World Animal Protection does a wonderful job, and even though the type of volunteer work that I do may not be hands on interacting with animals; just knowing that the office work that I do helps support the global protection of animals, is very rewarding.

How you can help

If you love animals and, like Hjorde and Kristin, would like to get involved then come and volunteer with our friendly team.

Our office is located in Parnell, Auckland and open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. Volunteer duties include folding receipt letters, photocopying, filing, basic computer and telephone work and graphic design work.

For those who cannot commute to our office in Parnell we would love you to help with other important work, like collecting petition signatures when we need them or raising awareness in your area.

If you would like to find out more we would love to hear from you!

Please note that we do not have volunteering opportunities that directly involve contact with animals. If you are interested in this kind of work we suggest you contact your local branch of the Royal New Zealand Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, as they may be able to suggest volunteer animal welfare groups within your area.
